Shorting Evil

Evil is in a topping formation.

Guest post by Robert Gore at Straight Line Logic

Evil is completely dependent on the good it attempts to destroy. When good discovered fire, invented the wheel, and started planting seeds, evil invented government. Evil produces nothing, it only commands, coerces, enslaves, destroys, and murders. Gigantic tombs loom over Egypt’s desert, built by slaves millennia ago, monuments to rulers’ vanity. A single farmer working the Nile’s alluvial soil produced more than any pharaoh, yet the former had to send a portion of his crop to the latter.

Nothing has changed since then. How do the production and lives of the good become the property of evil? Force, fear, and fraud are the usual answers, but they can’t be the entire answer. Rulers and their military and police forces are always vastly outnumbered by the ruled. Revolts have brought down countless governments. Yet, why have most people down through the ages not revolted but endured the force, fear, and fraud? The trick is to get the ruled to assign their right in their own lives to the rulers, acting as the purported agent of a collective.

New Version of TBP Comments Plugin

Because the world moves on (read The Dark Tower by Stephen King [even if you think you don’t like Stephen King]), sometimes you have to adapt. Even curmudgeons sometimes have to adapt (or die – also a valid choice).

Over time, software changes. The software platform that this blog runs on (WordPress) is constantly being updated to make improvements and also to beef up security against malicious bots, people, and code — which is a very real thing on the interwebs and which would [TODAY] take TBP off the Internet without playing constant defense against it.

When the platform changes, all the other code that runs on that platform has to update along the way. I’ve left the commenting plugin that we run on TBP un-updated for many, many years and there started to be some functional and some security issues with the old code.

At the same time, some of the other plugins (that affect how commenting works) we’re running on the site abruptly decided to start charging fees that would have made this site financially unviable. So we had to make some decisions and part of those decisions involved finally updating the commenting plugin.

I’m still messing with settings, trying to make the new version work as closely as possible to the old version. There are some definite improvements. For example:

Embedding Images

You no longer have to click a link and paste the URL for an image into a box at the top of the page.

You can now just paste the image URL directly into the comment box and the image should render as an image (not a URL) when your comment is posted. Try it and let me know below if it doesn’t work, exactly HOW it doesn’t work and I’ll fix it.

Use the comments on this post to tell me what’s not working. But you have to tell me in a way that I can understand what’s actually not working. Here’s an example of something I can’t do anything about:

“When I try to post an image it doesn’t work.”

Here’s an example of something I can do something about:

“When I tried to reply to BL’s comment above, it wouldn’t post and I received an error message pop-up that said “invalid e-mail” – and the error message kept activating no matter what (correct) e-mail I typed in.

So I logged in to respond. Which is something I won’t be able to do always. Can the e-mail trigger be deactivated? Or not?”

A lot of what you tell me is probably going to be specific to your particular setup and I probably won’t be able to fix that. But if there is something that is really not working for everyone (or many), then that’s something I can probably do something about.

Thought Police: Home Visit For UK Man Who Expressed Anger Online About Sydney Bishop Being Stabbed by Islamist

Authored by Paul Joseph Watson via Modernity.news,

A video out of the UK shows a man being visited at home by two police officers and an NHS psychologist after he expressed anger online about the stabbing of a Bishop in Sydney by an Islamist.

Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel was stabbed by a 16-year-old boy at the Assyrian Christ the Good Shepherd church on Monday night, an attack that was caught on camera.

The teenager walked right up to the bishop as he was giving a sermon and furiously jabbed at him with a knife while shouting “Allahu Akbar” as onlookers desperately tried to wrestle him to the ground.

After the teen was pinned down, he could be seen smirking.

Now a new video has emerged showing how an Orthodox Christian man in the UK received a home visit from police and a psychologist for reportedly posting online, “Christians must stand up.”

The clip shows a female officer explaining how authorities had “a few concerns” about what the man had posted on social media.

“So why are you here today?” asks the man.

The woman says the police have been told the man “might have a few concerns, a few things that are bothering you at the moment.”

“This is religious discrimination,” responds the man, asserting that the police wouldn’t be knocking on the door of a Muslim if they had made similar statements.

“People raised concerns about your views…about what’s going on in Australia,” the police officer continues.

“Yeah, so I’m an Orthodox Christian, now you’ve turned up at my house because I went and seen my priest,” the man responds.

The NHS psychologist reiterated that there was a report about “some beliefs being expressed” and that he was there to ‘help’ the man.

“So because I’ve questioned about the church not acting on behalf of Christians, you’re now turning up here with mental health nurses assuming I’m some right-wing nutter,” the thought criminal responds.

The video ends at this point.

Presumably, despite rising violent crime and police increasingly incapable of responding to actual crimes like theft and burglaries, they have plenty of resources to visit people’s homes over Facebook posts.

The teenager who stabbed the bishop has been charged with committing a terrorist act and could face lifetime imprisonment.

The attack was followed by a riot outside the church, which prompted more media demonization of the ‘fiery, but mostly peaceful demonstrators’ than the stabbing of the bishop itself.

Batshit Crazy America

Guest Post by Jim Kunstler

“Look at what all these white patriarchs built. Without pay. In their spare time. Anonymously”Jordan Peterson on “X”

Before the saints come marching in, the human archetypes strut down the avenue in their revealing regalia. Do you know why the archetypal batshit crazy women of the Democratic Party adore “Joe Biden?” I’ll tell you: because he represents perfectly and exactly the “patriarchy” they revile in his floridly comic senescence. “Joe Biden” is the patriarchy disabled, feeble, feckless, impotent, and reduced to inanity. He would be pitiful if the patriarchy itself were not so contemptible. This is exactly how the batshit crazy women want it to look.

THE FOURTH TURNING: America can no longer avoid the final turn of the screw…..

Via State of the Nation

…as the inescapable jaws of karma begin
to bite hard in 2024 and beyond.

First watch the entire video post at the link below to get some big picture context.

The Vedic Lunar Planetary Year Began April 8th: A very difficult period for all of humanity because of the highly challenging prospects for the USA. (Video)

Second, understand that every nation gets the leaders that they karmically deserve.

Which means that whoever wins POTUS in 2024 (and not necessarily legitimately) will, to a great extent, determine the national karma of the American Republic over the course of their 4-year term.

Police, in the Real World

Guest Post by Fred Reed

For years I worked as police reporter for the Washington Times, spending long hours in squad cars in various cities getting to know cops well. Now I listen to nice white people in the suburbs, and self-assured voices from NPR, talking about the police. They know nothing of the world where the police work. They do not know the bad sections at three a.m., the yawning dark alleys and lightless facades of buildings, the boredom, and the radio, the soul of a squad car, the laconic chat of the net. Slow night.

Biden White House Signs on to New Gates-Funded Pandemic Surveillance Plan

Guest Post by Brenda Baletti, Ph.D.

The Biden White House on Tuesday announced a new 50-country partnership to “combat future pandemics” and a new Pandemic Fund, financed so far by 27 contributors, including some associated with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, journalist Kim Iversen reported.

The Biden White House on Tuesday announced a new 50-country partnership to “combat future pandemics” by identifying and responding to infectious disease outbreaks, journalist Kim Iversen reported on a recent episode of “The Kim Iversen Show.”

The administration released a 64-page document detailing the program, which it said aims to strengthen “global health security” and “prevent, detect and effectively respond to biological threats wherever they emerge.”

To Those Mocking Safe Havens

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

A word to individuals who mock those looking for safe havens. We do not realize how lucky we are to live in America, Canada, or elsewhere during this current time period. Those who write in desperately seeking a safe haven are NOT simply greedy people looking to evade taxation. People are looking to evade government oppression.

Zelensky playing Solier 2Take a look at Russia and Ukraine. I know a woman with family in Russia. She can visit Russia, but her son cannot. Her son was born in Russia but has lived in America since he was a child. If he were to step foot on Russian soil, he would be required to serve in the war. There are countless Ukrainian men hiding out with their families, praying that Zelensky fails so that the war will come to an end.

COVID was a Tactic for Control & to Further Climate Change

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

COVID was a scam for climate change. I do not believe there was intentional coordination between the USA, China, and Russia. The media was on board, and China and Russia responded thanks to pier pressure. I had INFORMATION two months before anyone heard of a virus. The word being whispered around was, “A virus is coming.” That info was coming out of the World Economic Forum (WEF). This was planned, and the objective was to end commuting and to shut down small businesses. So you see, the worst damage was in the Blue States.

Texas Is Being Turned Into a Woke Democrat State

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

The Biden Regime is using federal money to bribe the Aggies, Texas A&M University, to come up with ways to advance “race-based hiring” in public schools. https://texasscorecard.com/investigations/texas-am-advancing-race-based-hiring-in-schools/

Possible you remember or have heard that Martin Luther King and the civil rights movement was about judging “people by their character and not the color of their skin.” Once perhaps, but it has been a long time since. For half a century skin color has had preference, if it is non-white, in university admissions, employment and promotion.

Feminists latched onto the scheme and the female gender was also privileged.

Why the Cost of Living Is Quickly Becoming Unbearable

From Peter Reagan for Birch Gold Group

In addition to the already bad news we revealed last week, it looks like there is even more bad news for Biden.

It appears like it’s becoming even more expensive to live in this country, no matter where you decide to put down roots or try to save for your retirement.

So let’s take a quick look at why that could be…
